Literature Text

Stop this clock with its relentless time,
As I walk along these streets of filth and grime.
The rain and wind it batters me,
Though the tears of angels I'm unable to see.
The greyest clouds they press me down,
The trees bend over as if they frown.
And in the distance over there,
Is a man with a saxophone and he doesn't care,
And he plays his tune in the cold night air.
The strangest thing in the depths of night,
And all of a sudden, all's alright.
strange things in the dead of night
